Responsibilities & Qualifications

Position Summary

 

We are looking for Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for orchestrating complex application development across the full lifecycle of development from concept to postproduction support and maintenance of server / OS / desktop / web / mobile  applications and services. The lead will develop application code, contribute to and manage version-controlled source code repositories, and will manage assigned tasks to create measurable value and deliver software to market using industry-recognized agile methodologies and best practices. The SSE will contribute to the prescribed standards and guidelines and will act as a consultant to the architects and leadership teams and must demonstrate quality, brevity, and timeliness in all deliverables. This position will be in our Pune Office. 

 

A Day in the Life

  • Develop application code according to requirements and assigned tasks. 
  • Contribute to lifecycle Flow and value streams by following and prescribing methodologies and best practices. 
  • Mentor and coach junior development team members. 
  • Solve the most difficult software development challenges. 
  • Maintain balance of business and technical acumen in decision making. 
  • Contribute to source-code management and work item tracking best practices. 
  • Contribute to the estimation process during planning exercises. 
  • Provide consultation to development management team.

We would love to chat if you have...

  • 5+ years of professional experience performing software development.
  • 2+ years of professional experience performing software development architecture activities and setting direction.
  • Strong knowledge of the following technologies: 
  • Relational Databases (SQL Server preferred), including stored procedure development and performance optimization. (Must Have) 
  • C# and .NET (Standard and Core) (Must Have) 
  • ASP.NET MVC and Web API(Must Have) 
  • Azure DevOps and Git(Nice to have) 
  • Javascript and the React framework. (Nice to have)
  • Experience with:  

    • Agile SDLC methodologies 
    • SQL Server  
    • RESTful API design and development 
    • Porting legacy applications to modern architectures. 
     
  • Some knowledge of the following:  

    • Cloud hosting providers especially AWS 
    • Microservices architecture and development 
    • Containers, AWS ECS, Docker, and Kubernetes 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant Engineering degree.
