Position Summary

As a Senior System Engineer, you will be heavily engaged in the design, builds, and implementations of technology solutions in a very collaborative environment. The Cloud Services team is sharply focused on supporting the company through the delivery of innovative cloud hosting, primarily leveraging services from Azure and AWS.

A Day in the Life

• A typical day as a Senior System Engineer in the team would require you to monitor and maintain our Windows servers and IIS configurations, ensuring everything is running smoothly. You may work on migrating servers between data centers, configuring load
  balancers for optimal performance, and managing Veeam backup processes.You will also collaborate with security teams to conduct compliance and PCI scan reviews, address vulnerabilities, and maintain documentation. Regular communication with cross-functional teams is key to streamlining CI/CD processes and ensuring the seamless operation of our cloud-based education products.
• About Role:
  We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our dynamic
  team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows administration,
  managing IIS servers, and a deep understanding of Azure cloud services. As a Senior System
  Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of
  our cloud-based products.

• Requires 5 or more years of overall IT experience.
• Requires 3 or more years of experience with Cloud (Azure experience preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Windows administration with server 2016 and 2019
• Comprehensive understanding of VMware and its functionalities
• Windows server patch management (WSUS, AWS Patch Manager, Azure Update Manager)
• Sound knowledge of IIS, SQL server’s configuration and maintenance.
• Active Directory setup and management (Windows, AWS, Azure)
• Intermediate Scripting capabilities (PowerShell, Python, Yaml)
• Advanced understanding of Windows operating systems and its functionality.
• ITIL (foundational level, but exposure to more detail than foundational is often necessary)
• Deploy various infrastructure monitoring solutions including CloudWatch, New Relic,
Grafana, Azure Monitor.
• Monitor and respond to critical alerts to ensure stable production environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
