Responsibilities & Qualifications

Position Summary

 

Provide technical support for remote and onsite users. This position provides front-line technical support for nearly all of the systems for which IT Services is responsible. Responsibilities includes installation and/or configuration of computing hardware (computers, network switches, printers, etc.), software, A/V devices, troubleshooting and end-user assistance. 

 

A Day in the Life

  • Provide end user support locally in office 
  • Install, repair and maintain desktop and laptop computers, peripherals and related systems  
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of technology principles, practices, and procedures 
  • Self-manage in a way that allows flexibility to support multiple tasks at any given time 
  • Assist in creating or updating end user support documents within knowledge management 
  • On and Offboarding locally 
  • End-user Account Management 
  • Build and maintain relationships across departments 
  • Other duties may be assigned

  • Experience:  
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • 2+ years of overall IT experience preferred 
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS environment required 
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting Microsoft Office applications required 
  • Computer/Technical:  
  • Advanced knowledge of Office 365 - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and understand basic office software applications 
  • Knowledge of network security practices and Antivirus software preferred 
  • OS Knowledge including Windows 10/11 and MacOS 
  • Service Now experience preferred or similar ITSM platform 

 

  • Other Skills:  
  • Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-motivated and able to work across diverse technical and non-technical teams 
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Exceptional Customer-oriented attitude
