Responsibilities & Qualifications

Position Summary

 

We are hiring Back-End Software Engineers to join a fast-growing team that cares about the clients we serve, the product we build, and each other. Our team develops and supports Nucleus, the first data analytics platform built specifically for associations and nonprofits. Back-End Software Engineers are responsible for the development of the Nucleus API, data processing pipeline, external system integrations, and data repositories. This position will be located in our Pune Office.

 

A Day in the Life

  • Architect and develop new product features.
  • Assist with DevOps to ensure the continued security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability of product infrastructure.
  • Build new partner system integrations.
  • Learn new technologies and evaluate their utility for providing solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product defects.
  • Work with non-technical resources to address client issues and verify solutions; and
  • Provide progress updates for assigned tasks.

  • 3+years of experience.
  • Love to solve analytical problems and are not satisfied until you get to a solution.
  • Are attentive to detail.
  • Enjoy the pace and variety of managing multiple priorities.
  • Are a skilled written and oral communicator, particularly of technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Like to understand how things work and aren't shy about asking questions. 
  • Are interested in data; and
  • Prefer a fun, collaborative work environment.

And you have experience with... 

  • Python and Python web frameworks.
  • Java and Hadoop-based big data tools.
  • RESTful API development.
  • MongoDB or other non-relational data stores.
  • DevOps (particularly for Amazon Web Services deployments); and
  • Unix command line – bash, git, etc.
